Ashley Taylor, PsyD

Dr. Ashley Taylor is a licensed clinical psychologist who is endorsed in California as an infant and early childhood mental health specialist. She has worked for over ten years supporting young children and their families as they navigate challenging life events. Ashley works primarily with children 12 and under providing parent-child (dyadic) therapy. She also conducts comprehensive developmental, psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and teenagers. She helps children and families address a variety of concerns including childhood anxiety, depression, attention deficits, learning disabilities, autism, tantrums, potty training, sleep disturbances, developmental delays, and trauma.
Originally from Massachusetts, Ashley moved to Berkeley, California in 2005 for graduate school at The Wright Institute. As an avid skier and snowboarder, she based many of her major life decisions on which mountain she wanted to explore. She went to undergraduate school in Vermont, studied abroad in Chile, attended graduate school in northern California and has lived and worked in southern California since 2009. Ashley integrates her interests into her clinical work, helping others to stay connected with the relationships and activities that bring them joy.
Ashley believes relationships play an important role in early childhood development and incorporates interpersonal neurobiology into her work. As a mom, she understands the challenges parents face on a day-to-day basis. She has a passion for supporting parents through the exciting, exhausting, confusing and incredible early years of their child’s life.
