Does your child only eat blueberry waffles from Trader Joes? Or pasta that's not too hard or not too soft without any sauce? Does your child gag when smelling a new food? Or when a vegetable is on the plate? Does your child refuse to touch a squishy peach? Or spit out a bite of yogurt because of a tiny piece of strawberry?
Mealtime Monsters is a six-week group designed for children with limited diets (less than 20 foods) due to sensory processing deficits (taste, texture, temperature, smell). Through playful interaction with food while maintaining a regulated state, children will learn that eating can actually be fun! Mealtime Monsters incorporates socialization with peers during mealtime to facilitate interpersonal connection. Each group session will also include:
- Movement-based activity
- Hands-on snack
- Parent feedback
- Weekly home recommendations
Note: This group is for kids ages three to five years old.
While there are no sessions currently scheduled, please check back often to learn about upcoming dates.
