Kids in the Kitchen: A Social Cooking Group

Good food is all the sweeter when shared with good friends.

“Kids in the Kitchen” is a group designed for children with limited diets (less than 20 foods) or unbalanced diets (omission of a food group) due to sensory processing deficits (taste, texture, temperature, smell). Through participation in meal preparation and interaction with a variety of ingredients, adolescents will experience food in a positive light (and gain skills to foster independence in the kitchen!).

“Kids in the Kitchen” incorporates socialization with peers to facilitate interpersonal connection—because who doesn’t like to gather with friends around the table?
