Rachel Comingore, OT
Rachel Comingore is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working with children since 2012. As an adolescent, Rachel worked and volunteered at various therapeutic horseback riding organizations across Los Angeles. What began as an enriching hobby, lead her to what would become a lifelong passion. She received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science from the University of Southern California. Since graduation, Rachel has provided services to children ages birth through 18 in both home and clinical settings.
Rachel has a breadth of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing disorders, prematurity, fine and gross motor delays, and feeding difficulties. Her approach is grounded in theories of sensory integration, neurodevelopment, and holistic, whole family collaboration. Using these frameworks, Rachel strives to help children from various backgrounds learn to listen to and understand their body’s needs. Through movement, experience, and exploration, Rachel will help your child to integrate and manage everyday sensory experiences in a safe and fun environment. She’ll also provide support for your child as they work to build self-reliance and independence.
Rachel’s dedication to balanced living and wellness also guides her practice. She strives to support families in making conscious decisions about everyday activities, diet, and relationships as they help their children live more regulated and fulfilling lives.
As an Occupational Therapist, she works closely with families to help them understand the difficulties their child is facing and the unique challenges they pose. Striving to best serve her clients, Rachel works side-by-side with other health and education professionals to support the families she treats across all environments.
