About euodia

Euodia Choi, MA, AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Euodia Choi an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who supports children and their families in navigating emotional and relational challenges. She helps children manage difficult emotions, attention challenges, and the effects of trauma, while supporting parents in building attuned, responsive relationships. She views behavior as a window into a child’s inner world and sees emotional struggles as opportunities to connect, understand, and guide with care.

Before becoming a therapist, she spent many years as a children’s pastor, walking alongside families during formative seasons. These experiences shaped her deep appreciation for how early relationships influence a child’s sense of safety, identity, and belonging. She is especially passionate about supporting immigrant and multicultural families. She supports clients in navigating acculturation, cultural identity, and intergenerational dynamics. She also provides therapy in Korean, offering culturally responsive care to Korean-speaking and Korean-cultured clients.

Her approach is integrative and relational. It blends interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), somatic awareness, and mindfulness. She uses play-based therapy, recognizing that children naturally express, process, and make meaning of their experiences through play. Her work also includes parts work (TIST) and EMDR. Treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. Central to her work is co-regulation, using the calming presence of another person to help clients feel safe, settle their nervous system, build coping skills, and grow resilience.

She earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in trauma, from Pacific Oaks College, and holds a B.A. in Anthropology from UCLA, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.

When she’s not in session, she enjoys listening to her son play piano, admiring her daughter’s artwork, sharing laughter and adventures with her husband and friends, exploring cozy coffee shops, and getting lost in a good book.
