Evelyn J. Cumpian, LMFT, is a California-endorsed Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist and Reflective Practice Facilitator II, as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. With a rich background in early childhood education and mental health, Evelyn brings over a decade of experience supporting the emotional well-being of young children and their families through trauma-informed, bilingual (English/Spanish) therapeutic services.

Currently serving as a Mental Health Manager at Para Los Niños in Los Angeles, Evelyn specializes in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), play-based interventions, and reflective practice. Her work focuses on strengthening attachment, fostering co-regulation, and guiding caregivers in building nurturing, predictable environments for children. She also consults with early childhood education (ECE) staff and facilitates reflective practice groups, promoting emotionally attuned, culturally responsive care.

Evelyn’s professional journey spans roles as a bilingual therapist, program manager, site supervisor, and early childhood educator. She is known for her ability to connect with families, lead with compassion, and support healing through relational repair.

She holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College, a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from the University of La Verne, and an Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Certificate from Georgetown University. Her clinical training includes Child-Parent Psychotherapy, child-centered play therapy, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices.

Beyond her professional work, Evelyn finds joy in camping and hiking with her family, lounging by the pool with friends, savoring delicious meals, and dancing to great music. Her warm, grounded approach and passion for connection make her a valued partner to the children, families, and professionals she serves.
