Speaking & Workshops

At The Center for Connection, our team of clinicians brings a depth of knowledge and experience to professional development, parent education, and community learning spaces. In addition to our direct clinical work, many of our clinicians provide speaking engagements, workshops, and training workshops for a variety of audiences, including schools, organizations, clinical teams, parents, and community groups.

Our clinicians create engaging, accessible, and practical learning experiences that blend research with real-world application–whether you’re looking to deepen your team’s understanding of child development through a trauma-informed lens; develop neuro-affirming practices; strengthen parental / caregiver approaches to regulation and connection in your community; support wellness goals for adults; or explore the intersection of neuroscience and practice. We’re also open to collaborations for symposiums, panel discussions, and more.

Training Formats

Our offerings range from one-time workshops to multi-session professional learning series, and can be adapted to meet your audience’s needs and schedule. In addition to individual talks, we often collaborate with schools and organizations in longer-term partnerships that may include:

  • Ongoing professional development for staff teams (with expertise in supporting SLPs, OTs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, BCETs-in-Training, and mental health PhDs / PsyDs)

  • Consultation or program design support

  • Mentorship or reflective supervision

  • Parent and community education workshops

We welcome the opportunity to customize trainings to align with your goals, the developmental needs of your population or audience, and your organization’s existing frameworks or initiatives.

Custom & Tailored Trainings

Every audience is different. We regularly create customized workshops designed around a team’s specific goals, population, or context. Whether you’re looking for a one-hour talk, a full-day training, or a year-long collaboration, we can design something that fits your needs.

Rates & Accessibility

Our standard speaking rate is $800 per hour, which includes preparation and presentation time. Travel expenses will be discussed when relevant, and are typically inclusive of mileage reimbursement or ground transportation, hotel, and flights, where applicable.

We also believe in making professional learning accessible, and we recognize that organizations have a wide range of budgets. Each year, we offer a limited number of sliding scale or no-cost workshops to qualifying schools, nonprofits, and community groups. If your budget is limited, we still encourage you to reach out; we’re often able to make it work.
